Do you find your Roku TV stuck on the Purple screen while booting? Then, you’ve found the right place.
Due to the firmware glitch, bugs, and connectivity issues, you will see the purple screen on your Roku. As there are multiple reasons behind the issue, there is always a single fix for this problem. If you like to fix this issue on your Roku TV, then take a look at the following review.
Steps to Resolve Roku Stuck on Purple Screen
The probability of fixing the Roku purple screen with a single fix is unlikely. So, to even the chances, I have come up with multiple fixes that you can find useful to fix the problem.
Check Connectivity
If you’re using a Roku TV device or box with another TV device, you can try this fix. If your Roku device is not properly to your smart TV, your Roku device will fail to perform to its fullest. This will lead to various performance issues and bugs. This also suits the Roku TV getting stuck on the purple booting screen.
So, as a solution, check whether the dongle is connected firmly. Also, check for damaged cables or HDMI ports and fix the issue.
Restart Roku Device
Sometimes, a minor glitch can cause your Roku to stop working and reduce its functionality. So, instead of going into technical, you can simply restart your Roku TV.
As proven, restarting your device will get rid of any bugs in the software and refresh the system for better function. So unplug the TV cables and press the Power button on your remote and on the TV for 10 seconds. Then turn on your Roku TV and check for issues.
Update Your Roku
Have you failed to update your Roku TV to the latest firmware? Then this is one of the reasons for your issue. An outdated Roku device is vulnerable to bugs and malware attacks. So, to avoid this phenomenon, Roku releases updates to overcome this and to get new features to their device. So, as a solution, update your Roku device to the current version to avoid any issues.
Note: If your Roku is getting stuck on a purple screen on a random scale, you can try this out to fix it.
Factory Reset Your Roku TV
If the above fixes don’t help, try factory resetting your Roku TV, which is the ultimate solution. Resetting your TV will wipe out the system by deleting all data files, preset settings, app data, and more. Doing this will remove any bugs, corruptive, or invasive files from Roku and fix the purple screen issue. You can easily reset your Roku by going to the Factory reset option on Advanced System Settings.
If you can’t access the Roku settings, use the Roku reset button. Some Roku TV and device models come with a pinhole button to manually reset the device. Take a paperclip and press the Reset button on Roku TV (which you can find on the back or side of the device) for more than 20-30 seconds. This will reset your device and fix the problem.
Check Backlights on Roku TV
Even if a reset doesn’t make a difference, the problem is the hardware. If your Smart TV or Roku TV backlight is damaged, you can see the TV screen showing black, or it will show either a black screen or a different color. So, in this case, all you can do is call a Roku technician from the customer support website or get your local technician to replace the damaged backlight.
Upon trying these fixes, you can easily fix the Roku stuck on the Purple screen issue easily. If you have any doubts while trying out any fixes, please don’t hesitate to contact me on my Roku community forum.
