Flickr is a free/membership platform where you can upload or download beautiful photographs around the world. As the app is removed from the channel store, you can no longer install Flickr on Roku. However, if you still wish to preview its images on your Roku, then you can choose the screen mirroring approach.
How to Screen Mirror Flickr on Roku
To screen mirror Flickr from your mobile or PC, you need to make sure to satisfy the following conditions.
- Connect your Roku TV to a WIFI network. Also, connect your mobile/PC to the same network.
- Android and Windows users enable Screen Mirroring settings on Roku.
- iPhone and Mac users should turn on AirPlay on Roku.
Via Mobile
- Download the Flickr app from Play Store | App Store and enter your login details on the app.
- Choose a photo you like to preview on Roku and display it.
- Now, open Notification Panel on your Android and click on Screen Cast/Cast icon.
- For iPhone, go to Control Center and click on Screen Mirroring.
- From your respective mobile phones, select your Roku device.
- Now, the selected image will now preview on your Roku big screen.
Via PC
- Visit the Flickr official website (https://www.flickr.com/) and sign into your account.
- Preview the image you like on your PC.
- Now, press Windows + K on your keyboard. On Mac, open Control Center and click on Screen Mirroring.
- Choose your Roku TV from the pop-up that appears on your PC and mirror the selected image on your Roku.
Upon mirroring the images, you can create your own screensaver on Roku. While screen mirroring, if you can’t find the Roku device from your casting devices, fix your internet. Otherwise, restart your Roku device as a solution. If that doesn’t help you, then raise your issue on my community forum page.
