For those unaware, Flixtor is a free streaming service that holds a huge collection of movies and TV shows. As the service doesn’t meet the conditions and doesn’t hold a proper license, the Flixtor app is currently not available at the Roku Channel Store. However, you can still access its content on your Roku via the screen mirroring approach.
Alternative Ways to Watch Flixtor on Roku
With Flixtor officially not available on Roku, screen mirroring its app is the only way to access its content on your TV. You need to do some pre-requisites to screen mirror Flixtor from your mobile or PC to your Roku.
- Connect your Roku to a WIFI and your casting devices to the same network.
- You should enable Screen Mirroring on Roku if you’re using Android or Windows as the casting device.
- Similarly, you should turn on AirPlay on Roku if you’re using an iPhone or Mac for this process.
How to Screen Mirror Flixtor on Roku Via Mobile
1. Download the APK file of Flixtor on your Android and install its app.
2. If you’re an iPhone user, you can download the Flixtor app from the App Store.
3. After installing, open the app and go to the home screen.
4. Choose any movie or TV show you like to watch.
5. While the content is playing on your mobile,
- If you’re an Android user, you should open the Notification Panel and click on the
Cast icon. - If you own an iPhone, then go to Control Center and select Screen Mirroring.
6. Next, choose your Roku device on your mobile.
7. Now, you can watch the selected media content on your Roku TV via your mobile.
How to Stream Flixtor on Roku Via PC
1. Open a browser on your Windows or Mac and visit the official website of Flixtor service.
2. From the website, choose any movie or TV show you like and play it on your PC.
3. While the content is playing, do the following:
- Windows: You should press the Windows + K button on your keyboard.
- Mac: Click on the Menu > Control Center > Screen Mirroring.
4. Choose your Roku device from the active devices.
5. Now, you can watch the selected video from Flixtor on your Roku.
