How to Connect Speakers to the Roku TV

You can connect the external speakers through the HDMI Cable, Optical Cable, Headphone Jack, and Bluetooth. Go through the steps one by one to deal with the case.

Through HDMI Cable

Similar to connecting the DVD player or soundbar to Roku TV, you can use the HDMI cables to get the best sound output.

1. Look for the HDMI ports on your external speakers. After that, take a well-insulated HDMI Cable.

2. Connect one end of the cable to the HDMI ARC port of the Roku TV and the other end to the speaker’s port.

Using the Optical Cable

1. Take out your optical cable and plug in one end to the output port of your Roku TV and the other end to the input port of the speakers.

2. After this connection, turn on your speakers and the Roku TV.

3. Go to Audio Settings on your Roku TV and set Optical as audio output.

4. Play any video to start watching it on your Roku TV with the bass sound from the speaker.

Using Headphone Jack

1. Locate the headphone jack port on your Roku TV. It must probably be present on the back of your device.

2. Connect the 3.5mm headphone jack to both the ports of the Roku TV and the external speakers.

Via Bluetooth

Bluetooth Speakers

2. Go to the Settings of your Roku TV and continue by selecting the Remote & Devices option.

3. Select Wireless Headphones visible on the right side of the screen.

4. You have to tap on the Add new wireless headphones option and it starts browsing for the active devices.

5. Choose your speaker name on the list. If you cannot detect your external speaker on the list, then manually enter its name in the given field.

6. Once the devices are paired, start playing any videos or music on your Roku to enjoy streaming the audio seamlessly from your Bluetooth speakers.

Quick Note: Upon pairing your Bluetooth speakers with the Roku TV, change a few options on the audio settings of Roku TV which includes the audio mode, equalizer, volume etc., to enjoy listening to the audio in the best quality.
