Check your Connectivity Cables
If you’re a user who is using a Roku device on a smart TV, then this is for you. When the connectivity between Roku and smart TV is not good, you will see a black screen on your TV. So make sure to unplug and properly connect your Roku stick/box to the smart TV HDMI/power socket firmly.
After connecting it, turn on your Roku and check if you see the issue.
Switch to HDMI Input
Similar to the connectivity issues, if your smart TV is not in the right HDMI input, you will see a black screen. So, after connecting your Roku to your smart TV HDMI port, make sure to switch the input to Roku. After switching the input, you can easily access your Roku device and avoid the black screen problem.
Restart Your Roku TV
Sometimes, the Roku black screen problem can occur when your TV is facing a lot of temporary bugs. In that case, simply restart your Roku to fix things up. As restarting removes every unwanted bug and error from the system, this is the best fix you can try out.
Check Your Roku Remote
When you press any button on the remote, do you see a black screen on your TV? If so, it is possible that your Roku remote is not working.
